Stage 1: 50 micron polypropylene (PP) string wound sediment cartridge to retain sand, rust and suspended particles.
Stage 2: polyphosphate anti-scale cartridge to help reduce the formation of limescale deposits in pipework, fittings and equipment.
Features 1” brass connections, reinforced PP + PET double-layer construction, inspection windows and universal 10” cartridges. Supplied with both cartridges, wall mounting bracket and housing wrench.

50 Micron Sediment + Polyphosphate
The ROTEK FILTERS 10-inch dual water filter combines two complementary treatment stages to help protect water installations and connected equipment.
The first stage uses a 50 micron polypropylene string wound sediment cartridge to retain sand, rust and other suspended particles.
The second stage incorporates a polyphosphate cartridge designed to help limit the formation of limescale deposits in pipework, fittings and water-connected equipment.

PP String Wound Cartridge
The string wound structure helps retain solid particles present in the water, including:
- Sand and mineral particles.
- Rust from pipework.
- Sediment and suspended solids.
- Particles within the cartridge's filtration rating.
POLYPHOSPHATE · ANTI-SCALE
Scale Inhibition Cartridge
Polyphosphates interact with scale-forming minerals, helping to limit their deposition on surfaces within the water installation.
- Helps prevent limescale build-up.
- Helps protect pipework and fittings.
- Helps reduce scale deposits in equipment.
- Complements the sediment filtration stage.

Reinforced Double-Layer Construction
Each housing features a structure made from two complementary materials:
INNER LAYER — PET: transparent material forming the inner surface of the housing.
OUTER LAYER — REINFORCED PP: high-strength outer structural layer.
Declared burst pressure resistance: >3.2 MPa
This value refers to housing burst resistance testing and must not be interpreted as the maximum continuous operating pressure.
Integrated Inspection Windows
Both housings feature inspection windows with hinged protective covers, allowing visual inspection without dismantling the filter housings.

A combined sediment filtration and scale inhibition solution for installations requiring particle retention and protection against limescale deposits.
Scale Inhibition Without Removing Hardness Minerals
Polyphosphates help limit the formation of limescale deposits but do not remove calcium or magnesium from the water. This system is therefore not a substitute for an ion-exchange water softener when a reduction in water hardness is required.
Easy Maintenance
TURN OFF WATER
Shut off the water supply before carrying out maintenance.
RELEASE PRESSURE
Loosen the pressure relief screw on the first filter head using a flat-head screwdriver and check that the system is depressurised.
OPEN HOUSINGS
Use the supplied housing wrench to unscrew the filter housings.
REPLACE & REASSEMBLE
Replace the cartridges when required, reassemble the housings and check for leaks.
